We want you to feel confident buying from PivotToAI. This policy explains exactly when you can get your money back, how long it takes, and what your rights are under British Columbia consumer law.
1. Monthly Subscriptions (Builder tier, $299 CAD/month)
- Cancel anytime from your account dashboard. No phone call required.
- Pro-rata refund for the unused portion of your current billing period, processed to your original payment method within 5 business days.
- Example: cancel on day 10 of a 30-day month = refund for the remaining 20 days.
- Prefer to pause instead of cancel? You can pause your subscription for up to one month per quarter without losing course access. Resume anytime with no additional charge.
2. Annual Subscriptions (Founder tier, $3,000 CAD/year)
- Within 14 days of purchase: full refund, no questions asked.
- After 14 days: pro-rata refund for remaining unused months. Example: cancel at month 3 of a 12-month subscription = approximately $2,250 CAD refund.
- After 12 months of continuous service: no refund; you have received full annual value.
- All refunds processed to the original payment method within 5 business days.
3. Self-Paced Online Courses
- Courses are included with active Builder and Founder memberships at no extra charge.
- Access to course materials ends when your membership ends. Your completed lesson records remain in your account for your reference.
- If courses are sold separately in the future (not bundled with a membership): 14-day full refund window provided less than 30% of the course has been completed. After 14 days or 30% completion, non-refundable.
- The free Explorer tier has no refund provisions because no payment is collected.
4. In-Person Hackathon Tickets ($750 CAD per Saturday event)

Transfer option (instead of a refund)
- Transfer your paid ticket to another person at no charge, up to 3 days before the event.
- Email support@pivottoai.ca with the transferee’s full name and email address.
- The transferee must agree to our event terms and meet any prerequisite course requirements tied to the ticket.
If PivotToAI cancels the event
If we cancel a hackathon due to instructor illness, natural disaster, government order, or any other reason on our end, you get to choose: a full 100% refund or automatic transfer to the next available event.
5. How to Request a Refund
- Email support@pivottoai.ca with your order number and a short reason.
- Include your invoice or receipt for faster processing.
- We review requests within 2 business days via our contact channels.
- Approved refunds reach your original payment method within 5 to 7 business days, depending on your bank.
6. Dispute Resolution
If you believe a refund was denied in error, you can escalate within 30 days by emailing disputes@pivottoai.ca. We issue a final decision within 5 business days. If you remain unsatisfied, you retain your right to pursue a chargeback through your credit card issuer.
7. British Columbia Consumer Protection
This policy meets or exceeds the minimums required by the BC Business Practices and Consumer Protection Act, including the 7-day cooling-off period for distance sales contracts and the 10-day cancellation right for continuing services contracts. You retain all statutory consumer rights under BC and Canadian law. Nothing in this policy limits those rights.
8. No-Fault Abuse Clause
Accounts showing a pattern of refund abuse (for example, repeatedly purchasing and refunding the same product, or initiating chargebacks instead of contacting us) may be suspended. Chargebacks filed without first contacting us will be contested with purchase evidence.
