MCPs: Tool Use for Agents
MCP is the protocol that lets an agent talk to the outside world. If you want an agent that reads your calendar, queries your database, controls your tools, or integrates with your company stack, you need to understand MCP well enough to use existing servers and build your own.
This course walks through the protocol, the three primitives, the SDK, and the practical patterns for shipping an MCP server that does one thing well. You will build one end to end and connect it to Claude Code.
This is the prerequisite for the advanced hackathon, where cohorts build and integrate custom MCP servers against real domain problems.
